Rewinding (also called as Recoiling) and Trimming are important operations to be carried out after the Cold Rolling of coils.
If the coil has to undergo processes such as Batch annealing, in which the Cold Rolled coil winding tension is not suitable and must be reduced, then the coil must be re-wound with lower tension in the Rewinding Line.
A number of steel coil customers demand exact trimmed CR / Galvanised Coils. To cater to this demand, it is essential to trim the edges of the coil before dispatch to such customers. Both these functions are accomplished in the Esmech Rewinding cum Trimming Line.
The highlights of the Esmech Rewinding cum Trimming Line are :
High Operating Speed: Esmech Rewinding cum Trimming Lines run with a speed of 600 mpm, thereby resulting in high productivity. For thicker materials, a lower speed option is provided with a two speed configuration, thereby reducing the overall installed power requirement of the Line
Single Motor Driven Trimmer heads: Esmech Rewinding cum Trimming Lines have a “Single Motor driven Trimmer head. The trimming heads on both sides of the strip are driven by a common drive, which ensures perfect co-ordination between the trimming heads on each side of the strip. The system therefore does not require electrical synchronization and makes the system trouble free.
Canting of the Trimmer heads : The Esmech Trimmer head can be individually canted by tilting the axis of the trimmer heads by ±1.5° from perpendicular to the strip pass direction. This ensures that the material tends to be gripped properly while trimming, thereby improving trim edge quality as well as trim width accuracy.
